planning powers progress
Selkirk has long demonstrated a forward-thinking approach to shaping its future. As part of this approach, the City established its Planning Division on May 1, 2022—the City’s first dedicated planning department since 1977. The division aligns land use planning with local priorities, streamlines processes, and improves development outcomes. A full-time planner and building inspector staff the division.
